The movie theater is a magical place to be a kid. From The Lion King and Frozen to Toy Story and Up, movies allow kids to experience worlds from Africa to Arendelle, among toys who talk and houses that fly. Don’t forget the popcorn.
At ChoreMonster we love teaching kids life lessons. Learning and being entertained during the process is something we take pride in. We of course love Disney (thanks Disney Accelerator!) and animation, so we’re celebrating Disney•Pixar’s new flick Inside Out, offering some really cool features inside the app, as well as a chance to see the movie on us!
Inside Out takes place inside the mind of 11-year-old Riley, who has just moved to a new city. She is guided by her Emotions: Joy (voice of Amy Poehler), Fear (voice of Bill Hader), Anger (voice of Lewis Black), Disgust (voice of Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (voice of Phyllis Smith),.
Today, your kids will be able to unlock these characters as virtual rewards inside ChoreMonster. Fear, Joy, Sadness, Anger and Disgust can now run rampant in your home as a reward for completed chores.
We also added chores related to each Emotion, including: Calm down when you’re angry, do a disgusting chore, overcome a fear, give joy to the family and comfort someone who is sad.
When parents add Inside Out as a reward for chore completion, they’ll be entered to win Inside Out movie tickets for the whole family. Reward those kids for all their hard work with a night at the movies (including popcorn).
Teaching kids about the real world is important, but teaching kids about themselves and their emotions is crucial to growing up. ChoreMonster hopes to do both with these awesome new features!
