Five Movies That Are Perfect For Your Family Night

One reward that we have suggested, and that we see our users awarding their kids with focuses on movies. This is a great opportunity for you to spend one on one time with your kids, or can be used as a treat for the whole family. Here are some of our favorite movies to watch with our families.

1. UP

Pixar almost always seems to knock it out of the park, but there is something really special about UP. We are guessing most of you have seen it, but this one is worth breaking out at least once a year with the family.

2. The Neverending Story

How about a film that lots of us grew up with, and that our kids love too? The Neverending Story might be strange, but we still love it and have no issues introducing a new generation to this film.

3. Avatar (Family Edition)

The James Cameron blockbuster is probably best for older kids, but in my family it was awesome to be able to let the whole family watch thanks to the family version that comes with this three disc set. The family version is a slightly different audio track, eliminating the bad language from the film, even though there isn’t a ton.

4. Wreck It Ralph

A favorite for families that love video games or for those that don’t, Wreck It Ralph should have a spot on your DVD shelf. It’s one that whole family will enjoy, from your little girls to the former video game obsessed Dad.

5. Because Of Winn Dixie

This children’s novel turned film is a great family film. A great story that animals lovers will adore, and just about any family can appreciate.

These are some great examples, but we want to know, what are some of your favorites to watch as a family?

  1. We love the films from the Japanese Studio Ghibli, like My Neighbor Totoro, and Ponyo. Even the adults can watch the films many times, which I think is a good sign. It’s also fascinating to learn more about Japanese culture.
