Chris Bergman, Founder and CEO of FamilyTech, believes that strong families are the foundation of strong communities. As a father and husband, Chris understands the challenges facing families in today’s busy world. As an entrepreneur, Chris has devoted his working life to putting technology in service to families — to “Bring Sanity to Families,” as we say at FamilyTech.
Chris founded FamilyTech (originally ChoreMonster) in 2012, convinced the digital revolution could connect and inspire families, including parents, teens, kids, and couples. Since its inception, FamilyTech has enrolled millions of users who have completed and rewarded tens of millions of tasks.
As part of his leadership at FamilyTech, Chris participated in start-up programs led by Techstars (Disney Accelerator) and The Brandery.
Prior to FamilyTech, Chris was a founding partner in Wiseacre Digital, and held positions of increasing responsibility at several entrepreneurial organizations.
Alan’s role is to tie all the technology pieces together into a cohesive service. When Alan is away from work, he likes to spend time with his family and has recently taken up wood carving. His favorite chore is fixing things that have broken, and his least favorite chore is cleaning up after the animals.
Chris Crowell (Topher)
Topher is the Android engineer at FamilyTech. He enjoys the outdoors and board games. His favorite chore is probably cooking chili, and his least favorite is the cleanup required after cooking.
Garrett answers our users’ questions and helps to fix any problems they encounter. In his free time, he plays video games and watches Twitch streams. His favorite chore is doing laundry, and his least favorite is yard work.
Jen is our Creative Director, designing our apps and drawing the occasional farting monster. When not designing, you can find Jen with a paint brush in her hand, a book on her lap, or skis under her feet. Her favorite chore is vacuuming, and her least favorite chore is doing the dishes.
Joe lends a hand with content, social media, and marketing at FamilyTech. When he isn’t doing that, he’s probably studying the latest beer and spirits, adding to his vinyl collection, or watching sports. His favorite chore is unloading the dishwasher, and his least favorite is dusting.
Erin is our Marketing Manager. She manages content and does her best to get new people to find, download, and use our apps. Despite being a ChoreMonster and HoneyDo household, Erin hates folding the laundry, but will gladly vacuum and mop the floors. She enjoys long weekends on the lake with her kids, husband, and some reading material.
Ryan is the Director of Brand Partnerships at FamilyTech. He works with brands to find creative, consumer-relevant ways for our brand partners to engage with our users and grow their brands. Since high school, Ryan has had the same three interests: Shoes, basketball, and Chick-Fil-A. His favorite chore is brushing his hair, and his least favorite is folding laundry.
At FamilyTech Brian handles all things Apple and loves creating apps using products he loves. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys. When he isn’t working, you can usually expect him to be at Disney World or planning his next trip there. His least favorite chore is anything bathroom related, and his favorite chore is dusting with one of the Dustin wands, cause they are like magic and make it crazy easy to do.
Karl is a front-end developer at FamilyTech. Outside of work he enjoys flipping tires and discovering the sickest new music. He’s also into coffee, adult beverages, and bread. As a kid, his least favorite chore was doing dishes, and his favorite was mowing the lawn.
Matt is our Chief Revenue Officer, leading commercial strategy and working with clients to create mutual value. Away from work, he can be found at his sons’ sporting events, at the gym, or behind a drum set. Chores? Laundry, sure! Lawn care, nope.
Kim Edwards Pinson
Kim Edwards Pinson is the Operations Manager at FamilyTech. Her primary role is to provide support to our team through the improvement of processes, tools, and training. She enjoys indoor activities away from the fresh air and the sun with her family. Her least favorite chore is washing dishes, and her favorite chore is when someone else in her household does the dishes.
Jessie is our Head of Product, meaning her job is to make sure you LOVE what we build. Outside of the FamilyTech office, Jessie gets her kicks in the kitchen and in the gym (gotta balance out all that baking!) and loves all things design and home renovation. As for chores, she’ll sweep and clean any day, but leaves taking out the trash to her husband.
